Albert
Stolpmann
My grandfather on my mothers side was born on
April 5th 1889 in Flötenstein, Kreis
Schlochau in West Prussia.
He was a carpenter all his life and met my grandmother who lived in the same
village when he was 30. His main interest was keeping beehives. In the
second world war he became seriously ill. The Russians under the command
of Stalin had occupied the area were he lived with his family and
there was no medical aid around. After a long fight for his life he passed
away on May 12th 1945 only 58 years of age. He was a victim
of war nonsense just like his son Aloys who was killed
in the battlefield by the Russian army only 19 years of age. Below is my
nephew Aloys and to the right my dear grandfather Albert.
